Wind-blasted and Sand-blasted

Had a really lovely walk along Belhaven beach this afternoon. It was sunny and bright, but windy. At least the wind was warm. At times it was a bit like a sandstorm, but the views all around were fabulous and we watched the gannets diving in the distance. Such a contrast to yesterday’s weather. As ever, the boys were kicking a football - until it went in the sea. BB ran in to get it and was very cross as his feet were soaked. However, he took his socks and shoes off and proceeded to get even wetter – and had great fun. I even joined him for a paddle.

This morning in an effort to use up some of our courgettes I made soup. I also made some madeleines (they didn’t require courgettes!). Both went down well at lunchtime.
