On Romney Marsh

Cycled around Romney Marsh today from West Hythe, via Lathe Barn tea rooms, via Newchurch, Ivechurch, and Old Romney to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway at New Romney and then along the coast via St Mary's Bay and Dymchurch back to West Hythe.

Refulling stops were held at the aforementioned Lathe Barn a couple of miles into the ride and at the RH&D Railway towards the end. Both traditional stops on this ride.

The weather was superb, if a little windy. We were pedalling into a stiff breeze for most of the day in the knowledge that when we finally turned the corner to work our way back, the wind would be behind us. So the final part of the ride along the seafront was completed with a following wind, in bright sunshine with the sea to the right along a flat road across the top of the sea defences. Lots of people around enjoying the day, the sea and the view. One of the best parts of the ride for me.
