Festival

Posting this a week late as the full on Commonwealth Games meant that though I managed to take photos I didn't always find time to blip them.

This final Saturday of the games we were at the Hydro for boxing finals, at Pacific Quay for a few beers and watching the sprint finals on the big screen.

Then to the Fruitmarket for the festival club, bands, beers and two rather fantastic moments.

Firstly when a whole bunch of Team Scotland medal winners (what is the right collective noun for medal winners? A bunch? A ribbon? A golden?) paraded out and modestly waved and talked about their achievements. How lucky we were the see and cheer them up close.

Secondly, we made a good decision to stay for Pam Hogg's DJ session. Bit punk, bit soul, bit 80s, whole lotta girl power. Sore feet the next morning.
