Green Heron On West Union

We've seen the green heron many mornings as we are watching the eaglet, but today it perched for quite sometime on a closer snag right near the tower. It was fun to see the birds buzzing it, and it's feathers standing on end...what a beautiful bird!

The eaglet is still around...just got back from observing it for an hour...no one else was there, so it was unusual to be there by myself, but I finally spotted it with one of the parents on a branch together, and then the parent flew off.
