Beautiful girl, on a beautiful day

We had a very slow start to the day and it was lunchtime before we headed out on our continuing mission to be tourists for the week. This time we headed east out past Kirkwall to the parish of Deerness. First stop was at Dingieshowe, A fabulous sandy beach surrounded by high sand dunes. The dunes screened us from much of the wind as the dogs splashed around in the crystal clear water. Unfortunately the tide was in so there wasn't a lot of beach to play on, but we will return again.
From there we went to Newark Bay, a place I have never visited before. We walked along the beach and followed the coast to the Point of Ayre, the closest point on the mainland to the island of Copinsay.
Today's blip is on Newark Beach looking towards Point of Ayre which is just past the turbines. The dark blob on the horizon is the Horse of Copinsay, with Copinsay to the right of the frame. I couldn't resist a shot of my beautiful girl playing with our dogs in such fantastic surroundings. Another damned fine day. More adventures await tomorrow....
