Calocephalus
This is the strange plant that I bought yesterday. I've never seen one before and apparently it is endemic to Australia. It's quite small but I'm hoping that it will grow to the size of a small shrub.
The 'Freebee' from yesterday's blip has sadly passed away! I found him hanging by a spider's web-thread from the scabious, so goodness knows what happened there, as he was perfectly OK when I got him home.
I had my Grandson Alexander all day today. He was exceptionally well behaved and was even a good help when I had to take the fire pit to pieces and remake it again....long story....I wasn't happy with the way that the bolts were holding the legs together!! I taught him how to use the socket set and he was a keen pupil. Not bad for 2 years of age!! Takes after his Granny :-)
