Undiverted

We started to make our way back to Bratislava, through some incredible foggy forested hills abundant with mushrooms. First stop was Kosice, the second city of Slovakia. It felt good to be somewhere lively again, really. The photo's from the main square. Went for a similar composition to this shot from back in Brussels. Then we drove to the border of Hungary, where the Domica cave system is. That one was impressive, the caves were much more colorful than the previous ones, tinted in red and orange from the iron and other minerals dripping down. Most interesting however was all the cool rock formations, primarily the "shields", circular flowstone formations that jut out from the rock ceilings at an angle and have stalagtites falling from them. Good stuff.
