Half-Dome?

A slightly slow start, after last night's frolics, but a hearty breakfast ("Breakfast is at 8 o'clock SHARP") sorted that out.
We walked over the shoulder of Catbells (avoiding the crowds, it had more visitors than Arthur's Seat, later on) to Derwentwater.
I was struck by the slightly Yosemite look of this sliced hill, so I went for a bit of an Ansell Adams style ;)

More jollifications in the afternoon, including a booksale. I managed to restrict myself to two books purchased, one a lovely reproduction of the plates from Thorburn's British Birds. Gorgeous.
