It might be raining...

...but they have a picnic packed, a bottle of beer each, big umbrellas, picnic chairs and they are beside the sea...so they will enjoy the view!

As I look out to sea now it is a blurry haze as the waves churn below us and the rain thwacks against the windows. The day started dry but it has gradually built up into a hooley over the day. We had a wander down to the rocks to take some splashy wave shots first thing, then we just chilled.

This afternoon we ventured to Beaumaris and the rain eased off so we could wander about and take some pics. We took our laptops and...YAHOO....we could get online there. Rach and I uploaded a couple of blips sitting in the car park whilst the rain pattered on the window in time to our typing. Isn't it sad how we rely on technology so much nowadays.

When we came to leave disaster struck...the car battery was flat! Fortunately, Rach was prepared with jump leads and even more importantly she knew how to use them! (unlike me)

There was a lady sitting in the car next to ours and she kindly agreed to help...the only trouble was she could't drive the car she was in as it was very different to her own, her husband was in the castle, she couldn't work out how to move the seat and she could barely reach the pedals (need I go on)...but she was lovely and tried her best. Josh, Tom and I pushed our car back and forth on the wet, slippy grass in the pouring rain as we endeavoured to get the cars close enough for the jump leads to reach. Once hooked up we revved, unhooked and were able to go. Thank you to our good Samaritan.
