what are you looking at?

My theory is that this bloke was making himself look fancier than his bicycle so that he would stand out and thus make his bicycle less likely to be stolen. No idea what the look of suspicion is directed at; there were a fair few people standing around taking photographs of the two official buildings on the north and south faces of the Pl. St. Jaume and he might have been mistakenly thinking that they were all taking photographs of him even though there cameras were all angled a few degrees too high. Maybe he was therefore miffed that their photographs would omit his sandals. I was safely tucked away on a windowsill were he would be unlikely to spot me, hopefully keeping his ego at a manageable size...
