Lavender and bougainvillea

Day started with David's 50th birthday at Boy's Heaven, aka the local arcade restaurant. I feel very fortunate to have such great neighbors.

The gardeners recently decimated my beautiful fuchsia coloured bougainvillea, though here you can see traces of the pinks coming back. It grows like wildfire year round, the sunny leafs resembling flowers being often quite difficult to photograph on account of their vibrancy.

Here, Reuben gave me a sweet moment and took off his glasses for me so that I could see his eyes. I love when he does that without me asking, just for a moment.

Party #3 tomorrow for this weekend and I'm hoping to grab a swim too with the boys.
