Blooming Lovely

We all went out for a lovely cycle ride this afternoon. En route we stopped to look over a bridge at the river Tyne running below. A busy body lady came out of the house nearest the bridge wielding carrying two golf clubs and a large shiny ball asking TT (in a rather accusatory manner) what he was throwing over the bridge. He was throwing beech nuts over the bridge. She wasn’t terribly happy about this as her garden ran right down to the water. Anyway she disappeared back into her house with her golf clubs and we cycled on. All in all a rather strange encounter.

Our town has just been awarded a silver gilt medal and the new entrant trophy by Beautiful Scotland. I am sure it is thanks to initiatives such as these amazing flower beds which have been flowering all summer long. I blipped another a while back.

I think it looks better large.
