Day 30: On The Road Again

All this traveling is sure tiring. After yet another ferry ride, this time from the North Island to South Island, we boarded yet another bus from Picton to Nelson. We heard many good things about the Marlborough Sounds and were excited to see them; however, it was rainy and overcast so there wasn't much to see. At least I was entertained by the different signs along the way. This sign makes it look particularly precarious to drive, when "frosty". What about Rudolph? Ha!

By the time we got to our hostel, we were so exhausted that we laid down for a nap and pretty much didn't get up until the next morning. Apparently our bodies needed the rest.

All the better, for tomorrow we start a new adventure in Australia. Have I really been traveling for a month already?! Back home, people are celebrating Labor Day weekend and getting kids ready to go back to school. Normally I would be thrilled for a three-day weekend. On this trip, everyday is like the weekend!
