Vulcan

Scottish Airshow at Prestwick is back after 22 years and what a day it was. Think my memory of the day will be the Avro Vulcan bomber. XH558 was the highlight of the flight display and she gave us the Vulcan Howl as she carried out a number of slow passes on the sea front.

The roar of her four Olympus engines as she climbed from the flight line on several occasions was a true spectacle in itself. I hope she can fly for many years to come. A massive bomber that has the handling of a fighter aircraft is something special to see in the air at close quarters.
