Butter And Eggs

To me this has always been toadflax but I learnt from someone in Sweden on IG that it is also known as butter and eggs. It's so very eggy and buttery, love the name. It's a member of the antirrhinum family so has the 'bunny mouths' that hold the flowers tightly shut. Only strong insects like bees or bumble bees or very tiny insects can get inside the snapdragons.

I'd been looking for bugs but only found one earwig. I could see a dark shape through the spur of a floret and guessed what it was. I tickled the poor little thing to come out to play. I love weevils. This weevil loves butter and eggs.
