We first met Shirley when we stayed in Malvern the first time on the B&B hunt. She owned "No.5" the Victorian pile that we lost to higher-bidding cash buyers.

Nevertheless we kept in touch, indeed we bought some of No.5's furniture for the Dell House. Tonight was Shirley & Ado's leaving 'do' in Worcester as they are off to Rwanda for 18 months doing VSO, having given up the B&B'ing and Ado having retired.

A great mix of people at the meal. Shirley just seems to gather fascinating people around her.
