Lunch

This morning we went to the pharmacy in the village to have our flu jabs. By going to the pharmacy we do have to pay for them, but our local surgery does not get their supplies until October. The other drawback with going to the surgery is that you cannot make an appointment, but have to turn up on certain days and then wait your turn. The GOG did this one-year, there was a three hour wait in the waiting room with other people, many were coughing and sneezing; something to be avoided with a deliberately suppressed immune system. The two injections I had yesterday did not cause me any problems, today’s flu vaccine however is a different matter and has made my arm hurt; it always does so nothing to worry about.

Then we went to Scotsdale’s Garden Centre, mainly for lunch, but we also bought some more bulbs for the garden as well as some plants to fill the tubs and window boxes. We also bought two new grape vines to replace the one that the builders destroyed.

Today’s picture shows my lunch of a jacket potato with cheese and salad with a piece of chocolate and raspberry roulade for pudding; the GOG’s hands and his lunch can be seen in the background.
