Stop

These diners were unconcerned about the JetBlue plane that was taxiing to a final stopping point at the Long Beach Airport. I guess they had a lot of faith in the worker in the vest and the pilot in the plane. This was to be our plane to Seattle, but even though it landed a half hour late there was still no flight crew (well, pilot anyway) available and we had to wait another half hour before we could load. The announcement was: "Passengers on flight 406 to Seattle, your plane is on the ground and we are trying to contact the pilot. Hopefully we will have an update on his arrival in approximately ten minutes." I guess our pilot had his cell phone turned off, maybe he didn't want to leave hot, sunny California for cool, wet Washington. We are already breaking out our sweatshirts and long pants.
