Thatcher Rock

Looking for inspiration on a dull day, I headed down the coast road and ended up at Meadfoot Beach. I wasn't sure it was an ideal choice for a Saturday afternoon with quite a few people around including some very brightly coloured kayaks in the bay. Thatcher Rock did look nicely misty in a romantic style. There's usually a big ship or two moored behind the rock and the mist obscured them, if they were there. A ten stop neutral density filter gave me an exposure of thirty seconds and smoothed things out nicely.

I thought about mono with a sepia tint but decided I like the subdued natural colour better. I hope you like it too.
