Seeds?

The London Open House weekend inspired us to visit Forty Hall in Enfield (although this is open to the public most of the time, not just for this weekend).

Forty Hall is a Grade 1 listed Jacobean Manor House, built in 1629 and in private hands until 1951, when it was purchased by Enfield Council. The building was re-0pened a couple of years ago after a major restoration. It sits in a large park.

This sealed glass vessel, apparently containing seed heads, sits on one of the windows over a staircase. I do wish it had been placed more centrally in the window!
