Back at the Pond

Up early, surprised to find it is now quite dark at 6.00am and headed up to St Ives Estate for the 7.30 Thursday morning walk.
One week after getting back it is the first morning I have felt up to getting up early.

All we ladies were present this morning and it was nice to get back to the old routine.
I felt surprisingly good even up the hills and managed to keep pace with everybody.

We always end the walk here at Coppice Pond to feed the ducks. They all seemed to be waiting. The Canada Geese were in two camps either side of the feeding station with all the ducks in front of it. The young birds are now virtually indistinguishable from the adults. Good old Greylag was there too either making friends with a Canada Goose or picking a fight I'm not is sure which.

It was quite breezy but the clouds were a bit reluctant to lift though here you can see it was looking quite promising. Sunny for most of the morning but we have got mizzly rain now.

I enjoyed the walk. Good to be back.
