Sunlight, rainbows, and crystals

As the year rolls on the sun is lower and lower in the sky. This means that it now shines right through the windows, filling the sunny rooms with light in a way that the high sun of summer doesn't.
If you hang crystals in your windows then the result is rainbows on the back wall. We have a lot of crystals and prisms hanging up in various places and on a sunny morning the walls are filled with rainbows. Some stay still, others jiggle slightly, yet others swing around the room, all depending on how and where they hang. Perhaps some of the rainbows will be a subject for another day's blip.
However, today's blip is looking the other way, through the crystal to the sun. It took a while to find the sweet spot but I think it was worth it.
Of course, it also showed that the window was not exactly sparkling clean, as well as being slightly scratched. A long session in Photoshop could have resolved that but a little reality must be allowed to creep in!
