Friends

We are enjoying a last weekend with our good friends in Washington at Hood Canal. Tonight, after a busy day kayaking, hiking and watching wildlife from our deck, we ventured to one of our very favorite restaurants - Ajax in Port Hadlock. We first visited here with our young daughter many years ago and have been returning ever since. The food is outstanding, but the real attraction is the wide variety of hats that are available for patrons to wear while dining. Almost everyone eating at Ajax selects at least one hat from the wall to wear while eating. Most of the returners change hats two or three times during dinner. Kids love it, one of the reasons we returned so many times with our daughter as she was growing up. Here my wife, on the left, poses for a photo (one of many taken this evening) with the better halves of the two couple with whom we are traveling. It will be sad to say goodbye in a couple of days, but they are already planning a trip to visit us once again in Mexico, which will make parting a little easier.
