Snowdon

Julia suggested we climb Snowdon. That was back in the spring and now here we were on our way up. Its a thrill to get invited on a trip like this by your daughter.

Let nobody say it isn't a challenge. Yes, you can go up on a little train. And there is a gentle path that follows the railway line. But we did the Miners Path ascent from the south. That was a steep old climb and we both have stiff legs today.

But boy oh boy, there weren't half a lot of people doing the climb. You had to queue to stand on the summit. People were on their way up wearing trainers and thin t-shirts. Talk about unprepared. And it was going to get dark before some of them got back down.

Anyway, we had a great day and celebrated with a glass of champagne in the evening.
