Best £1 ever spent

Took 20 minutes and cost £1 for Luke and Cary to get married today. Better still, a divorce only costs 50p. Now that's what I call a bargain.

It's a very strange emotion being woken at 1 a.m. by a phone message from your son, 5,688 miles away telling you that he and his girlfriend are on their way to the administration office to tie the knot and then to receive pictures of the happy couple shortly afterwards. It's real and unreal at the same time.

Long time since I've mentioned Mags, but for those with an interest, she is not good. Physically, I think she is as well as she was shortly before she went into hospital, or could be if it wasn't for her mental/emotional state. I fear that she has given in and that leads to a downward spiral in her physical health because she won't eat properly, doesn't drink enough, is too sedentary etc. The girls are taking her to the doctor today. I do hope he can do something as this is taking it's toll on everyone, not just Mags.
