Speed Networking events are always either..

Utterly dreadful or Pretty good.

Today was the latter. I had 9 appointments booked with the goal being nothing more than establishing the person in each organisation who we should actually contact.
Success for all 9 and I managed to see at least another 10. Apart from one complete rejection all other responses were pretty positive, with 3 people indicating that they have an actual requirement. The round table networking was also excellent.

The event was held in a huge hanger with Jets parked up around place, all very odd. At noon an alarm went off and they opened the doors, unsurprisingly there was a runway outside. I think it took an hour or so for the organisers to realise that whilst it was nice watching the planes take off whilst discussing the pros and cons of the supply chain it was also impossible to actually have a conversation due to the noise. The doors were soon closed.

So a good event, I have a lot of linking in to do later.
