It's the time of year ........

.......... when the morning light can be fabulous but it changes in minutes.

I left the house to pinks and oranges in a bright sky - when I got to the chosen spot about ten minutes later the sky was this dull (but beautiful) pinky-purple with only a hint of the orange that was there earlier.

A baker's dozen of birdies ..

A low lying mist, the turbines slowly spinning and some lights on Sutton Bridge power station in the distance all made for a bit of a spooky feel (photo slightly cropped but otherwise untouched) .

The weekend is here and with it cooler weather and some wind - the forecast says rain is on its way ..... very autumnal indeed.

Have a good one wherever you are, whatever you are doing.

Weather Groan of the Day:

A ship's captain radios the lighthouse keeper ....
"Radio reception very bad please spell out your weather report"

The keeper replies:
"W E T H O R - R E P O R T"

The Captain says to his sidekick:
"My God, that's the worst spell of weather I've seen in a long time"

Da daaaaaaaaa ...... :-)))

It is also World Animal Day today ..... World Animal Day was started in 1931 at a convention of ecologists in Florence as a way of highlighting the plight of endangered species. October 4 was chosen as World Animal Day as it is the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
