More bark....birch tree

Today we visited Mayfield Gardens which is one of the largest privately owned cool climate gardens in the world near Oberon in NSW. It is 160 acres and usually opened to the public for three weekends in spring and autumn. It is very popular and the owners have opened a nursery and cafe and have 6 acres opened all year ( opened last weekend). It is blip paradise. If you want to see what it is like go to www.mayfieldgarden.com.au

We had a hard time choosing a photo but this is what we have come up with, the second bark blip in less than a week. I took about 114 shots and there were a few in contention including some nice water scenes and even some flowers! The main gardens are open for the last couple of weekends on October and early November so we may return and check out the other 154 acres ( I have to let you know I have been there before and it is a big day out).

After the gardens we went into Oberon for one of the best hamburgers and chips I have eaten. After that we came home via the Tarana pub.....and Bunnings ( where I bought another rose)....

Now we are watching the grand final football.

More good news. It is a long weekend here so don't have to go to work tomorrow....
