Half a Kitchen

At last, today the work on the underside of the kitchen roof was completed and we now have the Western end of our kitchen back for us to use. We still have a one-foot gap between our roof and the top of the kitchen walls, so it is a bit cold and draughty, but at least we can now use it. I am delighted to now be able to easily make some decent filter coffee and espresso, even if we have a little more work to be done.

The disgusting state of the windows in today’s picture results in part from condensation between the double-glazing panels, but mainly from the wet cement splashed all over the outside of the house by our now sacked builder.
