Two finds today

The pink and orange fruit of a spindle tree (the shrub is called a 'cardinal's hat' in Dutch) and the almost neon bristly caterpillar of the Pale Tussock (Merian's borstel in Dutch). So a shrub with fantastic autumn colours and a non-descript moth with a fantastic caterpillar. Found them while doing a recce of the place where we're going to have a fungi tour tomorrow, checking out the place to know what kind of shoes to wear.

This morning had the result of the MRI of the knee, apparently it's wear and tear of the cartilage and loose bits are floating around causing the ligaments to get caught now and then. No op yet, phew. Fingers crossed that the support soles will make a difference once I'm used to them. Which is why I tried to walk a bit more today.

Thanks very much for the comments on yesterday's jay, the jays in Europe are very shy and skittish birds, the only reason I could capture it was because I was inside sitting and my zoomlens had just enough reach to catch it through the window.
