Life Savors

Splintered

I found all kinds of dereliction today when I decided to take a walk in fairly industrial area, while they put the new tire on my car. This wood is the support section of a loading dock. I particularly liked the layers, the peeling paint and splintering wood, all no doubt due to the many times it has been backed into by trucks. I am always inclined to process these derelict subjects in monochrome, so was pleased to find something more colorful yet in a rundown state.

Submitted for the Derelict Thursday challenge hosted by Sarum Stroller and for today's October Word Challenge: color (colour).
