Window

Another window shot. I liked the old saw in the top right. This is a ruined cottage near the village of Stenness. I walked from Bridge of Waithe along the shore of the Bay of Ireland to just past the Hall of Ireland, then onto the road to Stenness. I wondered about the name of the bay, and noticed that a nearby mill is called Mill of Eyrland. Perhaps both are corruptions of Erlend, a Norse given name.

I'd been looking for otters with no luck, but there were lots of seals and birds around.

I don't mean unfortunate otters, I mean it was me who was unfortunate.
