Pheasant Chase

One of the paths we use regularly is also used by pheasants - and recently Katie has chased a few.

Today I had my camera at the ready and as we turned a corner there was a pheasant just ahead. I fully expected Katie to launch but she was a bit late seeing it and I was a bit quick with the shutter - so not quite a chase.

A split second later all hell broke loose - Katie was off and the pheasant was gone. Camera was too slow to shoot a second frame.
