Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

New Rowers

A beautiful day for a morning row. All these little kids were on the dock, just going out when we get there at our usual latish time...—-oh my, we thought that coach was brave , some of them looked about 9 years old. In singles, sturdy but still tippy. Turns out they are middle schoolers, so probably 11-13 years old. Snapped this with my little camera from our boat as we were coming in and liked the angle, altho it’s hard to see everything.(the “aquamarine” oars with dots are ours…) Better in Large. Yes, the dock has been lowered some -(not enough in my opinion). The kids did well - you can see a couple getting helped into the dock (after we suggested to this young man that he lower the oar he was pulling on. The other kid on the other dock might do that too. :-) ) The launch with coach, friend and another kid is behind, and a yacht is driving past behind them. The wind did come up a bit to make a little chop but everyone made it just fine.,.. Good job, coach and kids!
Watched one of our middle schoolers play a great soccer game this afternoon…..he’ll say he knows how to row!
