Scottish Episcopal Church, Bearsden

The architectural style and colouring of the walls of this building are beautifully complemented by the autumn tints. Looking at it here no one unfamiliar with Bearsden would imagine it is right opposite a M&S Food outlet on a very busy road. I had to grab the moment to take the picture without traffic. At the end of the 19th Century, Bearsden was developing as a Glasgow suburb. The little church was founded in 1897 as a mission church – an offshoot of St George’s, Maryhill.
