Pink Pagoda

It was difficult to get a picture today which wasn't blurry - the wind was blowing a gale.
Mr K set off at some ungodly hour so he could get to London, have a meeting and then get back home in time to look after the Little Misses while I went to my school for my reading sessions.
The Little Misses and I had a lazy day doing not very much. Well I did not very much, they trashed the house!
My reading sessions were mixed again. One child can't read or write at all and doesn't want to settle to anything. Bouncing from one activity to the next every few seconds. Exhausting and a bit pointless.
One child can read pretty well but doesn't want to. Hopefully some one to one attention will improve confidence and enjoyment.
The last child can't read a word. We did quite a bit of blending with the flashcards and I read a couple of books which we talked about.
But I think it's a bit beyond me really. The child needs a lot more specialist help than I can give.
There was a parent helper reading with one of the other children and I couldn't help but feel envious as I saw her listen to the child reading haltingly and prompting on the odd word. That's what I thought I'd be doing!
My volunteer co-ordinator is coming to sit in on the sessions the week after half term so I'll wait and see what she says.
Home to cook dinner for the Little Misses and then head over to Bicester for Fat Club. I've mentally adjusted my target over the last week or so and want to lose another half a stone.
2lbs off tonight so my new regime got off to a good start!
