The Lozarithm Lens

Bowood 2014 #40

Perhaps Autumn is the fastest-changing season, dependent as it is on ever differing quantities of light, rain and wind or otherwise. It has been noticeable how different Bowood has seemed in atmosphere and effect even when only a couple of days have elapsed since my previous visit, even though most of these have been at the same sort of time of day - from mid-afternoon onwards up to their closing time at 1800 hr.

The light was catching the cotinus leaves, the geese had spread themselves across Lake Field and the leaves on the trees were showing all the autumn shades possible as the afternoon sidelight struck them.
