Black & Green: Small Leaved Kowhai

Just as the light was fading I took the tripod and the Fuji down to the water's edge to see what I could capture from the banks of the Kaituna.

This small leaved kowhai is close by our hammock spot. I've watched it grow from a seedling over the last few years, and it now overhangs my hammock between the two willow trees at our little 'beach' by the stile.
