View from Charteris Bay

It's been a locely day today, with the best part of the late morning/afternoon being spent at the Orton Bradley Fair, where the Diamond Harbour Camera Club had an exhibition.

It was great to spend some time on the stand, talking to people about photos and cameras. One thing that came out of it was a great many people who were toting cameras (dSLRs, Micro four-thirds and compacts) thought that needed some tuition on working out the different modes and what they did. I think we need to play a part educating our potential club members about how things work and what their cameras do - its pretty important to know what each of the PASM modes do for example...

The exhibition went well; for me it went extremely well as I had a couple of people expressing interest to buy some of myprints which was a lovely surprise. It also gave me assuarance that my work is well-regarded and saleable. Happy with that!

After the Fair, Mrs H and myself popped round to Mum and Dad's for a cuppa and a bite to eat whilst taking in their expansive harbour views; so here's today's blip, the view from their vege patch across King Billy Island, with the headland to the left and Quail Island to the right.

Definitely not a bad view from your vege patch....
