Hanging on his every word!

We're staying in an Ibis hotel near to the railway station in Zug and not having breakfast as some of the ice rinks are providing us with breakfast. Jim, Ian and I met at 8 o' clock to have coffee and pastries nearby with the locals who were on their way to work. And very posh it was too with beautiful sofas and armchairs. Not sure I would have made it to work if that was how I was starting the day. Most people were leaving for work as we arrived.

Left the hotel in Zug about 9am to travel to Lucerne and be on the ice ready to play at 10am. Another enjoyable morning spent meeting new people and enjoying their company and lunch. After lunch we had a professional guide to direct us around Lucerne and it's attractions which included medieval bridges and churches.

In the blip Gordon, sporting one of his many hats, is giving his vote of thanks to the Lucerne Curling Club. I was supposed to translate his speeches into German, but everyone spoke English so I was spared the humiliation of voicing my poor German to an audience! Jim and several others wore their kilt to curl (but not in the true Scottish way, thank goodness).
