Opening Night

The RNCM is one of my favourite venues. The new concert hall officially opened this evening with a celebratory concert - Sir Thomas Allen, the well known baritone, and pianist Joseph Middleton, singing and playing Schubert's Winterreise. Very special.
Coming out, a small student jazz band were playing - maybe a reminder that today is the 200th birthday of Adolphe Sax, inventor of musical instruments. Most notably the saxophone.
