Shops on the High Street

I walked to the pharmacy this morning to collect our prescriptions and took a few photographs while I was out. I chose this one because it shows the pharmacy, which is the only shop I visited.

The saga of the leak continues. The plumbers came yesterday afternoon, looked and declared that we needed a new tank. Plumbing work will need to be done when the modernisation of bathrooms is done, so as the leak had stopped, it was decided that it was probably a blocked overflow pipe and would be okay for a while. Not so, last night it leaked again, but this time the GOG was able to see where the water was coming from and he thinks that it is a ‘gland’ that needs tightening. He thinks, and is rarely wrong, that a piece of 'muck' from the tank blocked the gland for a while which is why the leak stopped. He will attempt to tighten the gland and hopefully it will be okay until the building work starts and proper repairs can be done

We have not yet made a firm decision as to which builder we will use as we need to have further discussion with the builder that visited yesterday; some of what needs to be done has not been included on the quotation.

Very windy here today and not all that warm although so far it has not rained. I have spent much of the day catching up on jobs that needed to be done and I have still not watched MasterChef, except the first ten minutes of the first episode!
