Rainbows in the Clouds

This Giraffe is called Evolution No. 44 by Artist Christie Wright. I took a drive over to Lyttelton this afternoon to have a look around as I haven't been there for a while. It was lovely and warm. Here is ths blip I did the other day on the Giant fibreglass Giraffe sculptures that are around our city just now.

My friend and I really enjoyed the play 'Stag Weekend' last night it was a really good laugh and well acted.

Lyttelton is a port town on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour, at the north-western end of Banks Peninsula and close to Christchurch, on the eastern coast of the South Island of New Zealand. A tunnel through the Port Hills provides direct road access to Christchurch, 12 km to the north-west.

On 22 February 2011 a magnitude 6.3 aftershock caused widespread damage in Lyttelton due to its proximity to Lyttelton and a shallow depth of 5 kilometres. Much of Lyttelton's architectural heritage was lost as a result of the earthquakes, as damage was deemed too extensive for reconstruction. The town's oldest churches have collapsed, including Canterbury's oldest stone church, the Holy Trinity.
