Behind the Scenes......

Behind the scenes…at the Fete. We visited the Garden Marlborough fete at lunchtime today. Garden Marlborough is an annual festival of all things to do with gardening, garden arts, tours and lots more. It starts on a Wednesday and culminates with an enormous garden fete on the Sunday. The fete is held in Seymour Square in downtown Blenheim and spills over into the streets surrounding the square.
We parked the vehicle in the multistory car-park building in the shade. It had turned out to be a hot sunny day and we had Fergus in the back of the vehicle. We could not leave him at home as we had yet another “Open Home” from 12.15pm.
Keith went one way around the Square, checking out the stalls that appealed to him and I went around the other way. We met from time to time for food and snacks. It was a great day…stalls and goodies galore… a wonderful place for some early Christmas shopping. And it was fun meeting up with lots of friends. I lunched on an asparagus omelette made by a wonderful local chef, Margaret….famous on Facebook. I captured today’s image whilst eating at a small table in lovely cool shade under the big trees behind some of the stalls…”behind the scenes”…..
Erin, Gypsy’s new “Mum” phoned this evening. Gypsy is settling in very well and I am sure she is going to be very happy living with Erin. She has been out and about with Erin today and her family members have fallen in love with our sweet-tempered little dog. We will miss her heaps. However Fergus does not seem to be too concerned at her absence.
