We shall remember them

This was a day when I thought back to a previous life at Wellington College. Wellington does Remembrance large - pomp and pageant.
North Uist does it in its own understated way. That said two hundred folk were there for a service of Remembrance on a glorious morning. There won't have been many more naturally spectacular settings for such an event today. All three local churches represented along with the local services.
On then to our beach for a short interlude and things have moved again. Sadly the basket is no longer the attractive site it first was. The crystals and bones have gone and the basket is wearing away.
Bizarrely then for November in the Western Isles it was tea and cake on the terrace admiring the view and more particularly the weather with some neighbours.
