Magic Lanterns

Yesterday it was magic mushrooms, today magic lanterns! It is not just raining outside - the rain is accompanied by such gloominess reminiscent of an eclipse of the sun, although it is only after 1pm. There must be a lot of clouds up there. However, it inspired today’s blip when I noticed that the window was picking up reflections of the bank of lights above the dining table creating a pleasing illusion of lanterns among the trees. The camera was steadied against the glass. On the right is the beautiful trunk of a Scots Pine which was included in my blip on 4th November on a different kind of day entirely - the orangy bark looks quite blue here!
