Best mate, Susie, and I decided to have our regular get-together out in the fresh air for a change. She took me to this river basin at Shoreham and, for once, 'awesome' was the right word. Water as flat as glass and the sun going down and bathing the local airport and little planes in orange light. We didn't envy the commuters zooming by on the nearby A27.
