Is it a pond or a puddle ?

This small pool to the edge of Belhaven Salt Marsh retains some water throughout the year, long after the other pools on the salt marsh have dried up in the summer months. Mind you in the height of summer it is more of a puddle than a pool. It has particular memories for me as we pass it most days when we are walking the dogs on the beach and Bella, our neighbour's labrador, who regularly walked with us, always paid a visit to the pool no matter how minuscule. There a real affinity between Labradors and water. Sadly Bella now has arthritis and is no longer interested in walking but this pool is a reminder of the times we shared together.
