All I want for Christmas...

Headed out for a late breakfast this morning, and found that the pre-Thanksgiving crowds are already starting to make the local restaurants busy - for non-US readers, the kids are off school this week as Thanksgiving is on Thursday.

Leejohnaire’s been hankering after some new camera bits and, over breakfast, suggested that we pop into town to the Houston Camera Exchange. As with many places, camera shops here have been closing down left, right and centre. It’s very sad. I think the only real specialty store we now have is the Houston Camera Exchange, and as a result, it’s full of everything you might need (or might not need, but just really want to try!). We bought some basic accessories (eg UV filters, cross-body strap). The other items on L's list will have to wait for Santa to take a look at.

I can’t say it’s a particularly attractive or photogenic store, but it does have an entire wall of old cameras, artistically draped in miniature lights, that was just crying out to me and which I thought some of you might enjoy!
