'Happy Kids - Sad Day'

I'm feeling devastated tonight as we're coming to terms with the loss of one of our great young Australian Batsmen Phllip Hughes. Such a sad day and it seems like the entire sporting community and the general public have taken this news pretty hard this afternoon. A very promising cricketer, not even in the prime of his career yet at only 25 years of age, with his 26th birthday this Sunday. My thoughts are with his family, friends and team mates tonight, and in particular Sean Abbott who bowled the fatal ball, I'm sure he's feeling just beyond words tonight. R.I.P Phillip.

Had to rush straight from work to Ivanhoe Girls Grammar tonight for our schools annual Spring Concert. The kids did a brilliant job and it's hard to believe that they're all just primary school kids. A real credit to them and the music teachers who put in all of the hard work to make learning music such a fun experience for our kids. The music co-ordinator Sandra has only been at the school for about 8 months now, but I could feel how proud she was of all of them tonight.

This was the final gesture of the Senior Choir which Dylan is a part of as well as playing clarinet with the school concert band tonight. Very proud Dad tonight.

Now it's 11:30pm once again and I have to be up at the crack of dawn for an early meeting in the office.

Night all.
